We are very lucky to live in
a beautiful part of the Berkshire/Wiltshire countryside
where the natural chalk provides dry winter grazing.
Our fields have vast areas of thick natural shelter and
wide shallow chalk rivers which the ponies all love to
play in. Because of this I firmly believe all
healthy horses should live outside and have access to
grazing 24 hours a day as nature intended,.
We are a family steeped in
animal and horse experience which has made watching herd
behaviour so fascinating, always learning from them, see
horse behaviour.
Our daughter, who started
her passion for horses from our very first miniature, is
now lucky enough to have found a very talented
competition pony that she has brought on from a very strong
hooligan to culminate in a completely unexpected win at
Hickstead last year.
Having had "real" horses all
our lives, we still need a fix of them and our old
Thoroughbred mare Brera (Tate Gallery x Anoint by
Connaught) has brought us the ups and downs of racehorse
breeding on a very small, but very expensive scale!
It is only when you still
have big horses, you appreciate how EASY and cheap
the miniature side of things are to run......until the
foaling season begins.
Anyone who has had the
pleasure of owning a miniature and just simply having
them around you will know the smiles they put on your
face. Our miniatures are bred for just that - to make
people happy, BUT a word of warning, we started with
two and now have over 40!
Our aim is to breed a
correct and sound horse in miniature with wonderful
personalities, beautiful heads, and in the rarest
colours possible. When people ask us "what is a
miniature for", we guide them to our
Make You Smile
page.We hope you enjoy browsing
our site and enjoy the pictures and information.
